Red carrot are early maturing variety.

These carrots are juicy and dark red with length of roots upto 35 cms.

Growing instructions

Carrots are usually grown in raised beds. Carrots like loose soil. If the soil is hard add more manure to loosen it. Ensure that the soil is loose so that the roots grow deeper and thicker. Remove any stones or rocks from the soil. Use manure, compost or organic fertilizer up to 4 inches thick mixed with soil. Sow the seeds ¼ inch deep and water regularly and see that water drains well. Germination occurs from 14 to 21 days. Re plant the little plants when they are 2 inches height Leave a spacing of 2 to 3 inch between plants. Leave a spacing of 12 to 14 inches between rows. Plant grows to 6 to 8 inch height. Bloom time to maturity is around 68 days

Grows well in sun but needs good water. Dries out quickly if lack of water. Keep the soil moist at all times. The bigger the carrot the tastier it becomes. Harvest the carrot when the carrot diameter grows to about ¾ inch (1.9 cms).When harvesting water the area well to loosen the soil. Grab the green stem above the carrot and wiggle the carrot around before pulling out.
