Growing Instructions

Brocccoli prefers cool climates. Prefers well-drained, fertile soil high in organic matter. Can also grow in  slightly alkaline soil. Needs plentiful, consistent moisture. Select a space which receives full sun and well drained soil. Loosen the soil up to a depth of 12 inch to 15 inch. Add a 2 to 4 inch layer of compost. Germinate the plants indoors and replant them when they are 4 to 6 weeks old with a spacing of 12 to 19 inches between plants depending on the available space. Use wide spacing’s if you want to harvest large central heads. Closer spacing’s will produce smaller central heads. Use fertilizer with low nitrogen if high will cause hollow stems. Harvest can be done in55 to 60 days.
